Job Purpose:

To improve the organization's competitive edge, market share and profit by providing new & existing customers with Speciality Lubricant Products, Service & Support on heavy-duty plant and equipment predominantly in the mining, quarrying, cement and metals processing sectors. The role is hands-on requiring in depth knowledge and suitable experience in preventative maintenance of critical production equipment and assets.

Job Description: 


1. Compliance with organization's HSSE standards, Safety Plan and all legislative and statutory regulations. Acting and behaving according to Global Business Principles, Code of Conduct, Compliance Law

2. Provide an outstanding level of service to existing customers in all agreed contracted areas of customer interaction

3. Identify and develop potential growth for speciality product sales at new and existing customers in line with virtual team and Industry Lubricants LoB to achieve the C3 /C5 margin targets as nominated by Industry Line of Business

4. Achieve outstanding status in operation and fault diagnosis of automatic lubrication systems

5. Conduct static and dynamic inspections on equipment using speciality products

6. Provide inspection reports to the customer to standards within agreed time-lines

7. Troubleshoot and service centralised automatic lubrication systems

8. Conduct comprehensive equipment condition and product displacement audits

9. Review customer maintenance activities and advise on improvements

10. Coordinate product application monitoring and performance programmes

11. Basic understanding of equipment failure modes and diagnosis to provide advice to customers

12. Conduct Oil Sampling as required and provide detailed interpretation analysis to customers

13. Deliver training programs to maintenance personnel and machine operators on customer sites

14. Work effectively in virtual teams with regional Sales & FLTS personnel to satisfy business and customer needs

Key challenges

1 Watching out environmental high HSSE risks, strictly following HSSE rules
2 Long-time presence on customer sites
3 Having the ability to distil complex information and to communicate clearly and concisely to others. Ability to document the problem, write a good report which clearly identifies the problem, cause, effect and solution including the costs etc
4 Managing relationships with key customers and their stakeholders
5 Competence in problem solving, good decision making skills and ability to find solutions to day-to-day issues
6 Balancing technical requirements with commercial pressures
7 Working with a reducing product portfolio while meeting customer's expectations
8 Delivers results - accountability. Clear results orientation and capacity to manage self-performance

Who we're looking for: 


* The successful candidate will be capable of working independently as well as cross-disciplinary team engagement
* Excellent technical base and communication skills, with the ability to engage with Plant Engineers as well as machine operators
* Proven track record of providing technical advice / fault finding recommendations while providing hands-on services on site
* Vibration analysis would be highly beneficial as the person would be able to step into the existing SLA's with minimum training / hand-over
